Interakt?
Just wondering what everyone thought of the Interakt Dreamweaver Extensions?
I want to make sure they are good and reputable, before I buy them... That
way I don't dump my precious cash down the drain. ;)

Re: Interakt?
huum they are great, realy great I think, they have a learning curve
thought, they have very good support. my fav extension is the query as it
creates great sql for some complex queries (for me any way), the widgits are
briliant too,
I have the entire kollection for over a year (when the kollection was just
impakt) and I am still learning and enjoy using is. I would suggest you
download the trials and give em a good trashing though , they are very
powerful. and they have a learning curve.

experienced in programming, but you should learn the basics of web
development in whichever model you choose (asp/.net, php/mysql, etc.)
before buying them.
I agree with the learning curve, but my experience with their support has
been not so good. FWIW, I'm an experienced software developer (20 yrs+ in
Clipper, ASM, C++, and Smalltalk) but a beginner in web design.

Re: Interakt?
Thanks guys! While I'm not a programmer, I do know a thing or two about web
design ;). I've already created my website, and done a bit with PHP, so I'm
not a complete n00b. :D Although, I'm definitely not an expert!

Re: Interakt?
Hello Boerboel649,
I use almost all of them! Great extensions .... as mentioned though there
is a bit of a learning curve but once you go through the well thought out
tutorials you will have the basics. From there the sky is the limit.
As for the support, its getting better and better all the time. The forums
are starting to get used a lot and many regular users are now helping out
as much as possible as well. I usually don't have to wait more than a day
to have an answer to any questions I might have. Mainly because of the timezone
difference between Canada and Romania.
Great products and great possibilities.

Re: Interakt?
Thanks Brad!
I downloaded the MX Kollection trial, and have played around a bit with the
member registration thing. It definitely is a bit of a learning curve as far
as the code goes, as the code for the member registration, seems to call on
quite a few external files. I hope this code is good, and doesn't teach sloppy
coding, since I'm relatively a newbie, to PHP (or any server side language for
that matter. :D)

Re: Interakt?
Hello Boerboel649
I have been using Interakt extensions for nearly 3 years. The extensions are
so good that we use them to create top of the line data management systems for
business and government entities. Once you get over the learning curve, and
become comfortable with using the extensions, you will literally be able to
create MAGIC within your web development projects.
I have ALL of Interakt's software and use the software on a daily basis. I
would highly recommend these extensions to anyone wishing to push their
development skills to the next level
Thank You,

Re: Interakt?
Thanks for your comments. I have purchased ImpAKT, and although I haven't used it a whole lot yet, I'm sure I'll like it!
