    Default Interesting Design Effect >>>>

Hi guys, I would like to do this design, just for practice in Illustrator, i know that maybe photoshop could be better for it, but i just feel more comfortable using Illu. Does anybody knows how to do a whole bunch of holes in a photograph plus coloring the picture in yellow like this David Byrne CD Cover. I put the link where you can find the cover.

That can be done also using InDesign. But if you want to do it using Illustrator, you're in the wrong forum. :)

The keywords you need to look up in the help files are
    - pathfinder > subtract
    - text on path
    - colouring a greyscale image or fill mode "colour"

But you certainly are in the wrong forum for Illiustrator questions ;)

Although there may be subtleties in the design which cannot be discerned on a monitor, it looks like it would be (for me anyway) a straight InDesign job.
