This apears in 3 cases:
1. U have a virus in your computer (a backdoor or o trojan) and try to send
some data ...
2. A recent program u have installed and u don't register.
3. A program who has "automatic update" enabled.
Check in Internet Explorer --> Tools --> Internet Options -->Connections to
set "Never Dial a connection"

Hi, Allan.

Yes, "always on" is part of the "magic" of DSL - along with the increased
speed. ;<)

We DSL users do not have to dial. But, we also CANNOT dial any phone
number, unless we also have a dial-up modem. So we cannot dial Intuit's
direct number. We have to reach Intuit via the Internet, through our DSL
ISP. It works fine - it's just a different route to the same end point.

Next time you try to register Quicken, read the screens carefully and select
the one that says you want to register via the Internet, rather than by
dialing Intuit's number. It has been so long since I last registered
Quicken that I don't recall the details, but I had no trouble registering
via ADSL.

How to do NAT (Network Address Translation) in Unixware 7.1.3 to connect
a LAN (of Unixware machines) to Internet with a Unixware machine
configured to work as Gateway and Router (for whole services) with
assignement of dynamic IP from ISP?
Linux world uses NAT, but Unixware don't have this software...
I have see also TA#112041 and for Openserver 5.0.7 SCO give NAT...
Thank you for any answer.

If Director does a getnettext or any web connection.
Will it establish the internet connection say in a modem?

Example we want to create a sync tool but need to have the user connect
to the web and would like it is director would establish the connection
say in a modem.

There is an Xtra that can handle this. www.updatestage.com - list of Xtras.
DirectConnection I think.
