Internet Explorer /Active X problems
I am using Windows XP with service pack 2. I have created a website in
Dreamweaver and have a drop down navigation system. The website only exists on
my computer as I am in the testing stages. When I try to preview in I.E.
browser the following message appears: ?To help protect your security Internet
Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access
your computer. Click here for options?. Then a message saying ?Allowed blocked
content?, then a security warning advising that content such as script and
ActiveX controls may be useful but might also harm your computer? If I click on
yes I can see the drop down menu but have to go through the whole procedure
again if I want to test other pages.
I realise that it is probably a case of either ticking or unticking a box in
Tools, Options, on I.E. and have tried various options without success. I would
like to be able to turn off this protection whilst working on the website. Any
help would be most appreciated as it is driving me mad. Thanks.
