Internet Explorer "Could Not Find Adobe Acrobat". Why?
Tried to open PDF file in web browser, but got error message - "could not find Adobe Acrobat". I installed Adobe Acrobat 5 about a month ago, and I just installed Adobe Acrobat Reader V 6.0.1 earlier today. Why can't I.E.; find Adobe Acrobat?
Thanks,
George

Has NO one replied to this? It's been happening to me too - same setup even. If Acrobat is up and running, the browser can open the PDF in its window.

I have the same problem since i updated to V.6.0.1. It seems to be a problem created by Adobe?!

Re: Internet Explorer "Could Not Find Adobe Acrobat". Why?
I have encountered this problem several times. What happens is that since adobe reader was installed after a full version it disables something in the IE adobe plugin. What I did to fix it was just go to add/remove programs. Click change and do a repair to your full version of acrobat. This should reinitialize the plugins. If you have just reader installed do a repair on reader 6.0.1. This will fix it.
