INX files and images
Am presently working between CS2 on my work machine and CS on my home machine. I export as INX files to work at home... is there a quick way of updating the pics once I've reopened the INX in InDesign? They're all grayed out, and while they still appear to be linked, I have to physically drop them in again to view them. I must be missing something? Or not...?!

If the images are on their own layers, you can export Layers to files. HTH; Amy "hawk1ns" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message... -

Re: INX files and images
The inx file does not contain the linked graphics. You need to relink them.
There are easy ways of doing this and hard ways.
The easy way is this:
1. At work, package the document before exporting to inx. Then export the version in the pacakge and take that home with the linked graphics in the Links folder.
2. At home, when you open the .inx file, if it is still located in the same package folder, it will pick up the linked graphics from the Links folder automatically.
