    Yes, but unless the offending parties have a static IP address you won't
    necessarily accomplish anything. Why are you wanting to do this?

    Thanks Murray.

    Yes, they are static IP's and belong to a business competitor who copies my
    new content and uses it in his promo materials as soon as I load it. I realize
    that he may quite easily use other locations to download content but I want to
    make it as difficult as possible for him until he get the hint.

    You mentioned there was a way if the guy used a static IP- which he does but you haven't told me what to do?

    Talk to your host or block it in your .htaccess file if you are on a *nix
    server....

    That's what I had originaly requested assistance on. How do I block IP's
    through that folder using dreamweaver? I'm on a unix apache server with that
    site.

    I cannot find any way to convince DW to reveal .htaccess files on the remote
    server, so you will have to use some third party tool to get at them. What
    is your OS?
