iPhoto: timing a slide show to music - Mac Applications & Software

is there a way to have it make a slide show that lasts as long as the selected music track? all I see is "1 sec, 2 sec" etc. if a song lasts 3:45, that's how long I want the slide show to last. -- you know, if Jesus comes back to Earth, I bet the last thing he'll want to see again is another cross....

    Try using iMovie instead.

Try cutting your photos until you hit 3:45. The bloody program isn't
    psychic.

No, iPhoto doesn't have a "fit to music" option. You have to determine
the length of the track, take the number of photos and divide. Set the
durations to match "total length/number of photos". iDVD has a "Fit to
Music" option in its slideshow. So does Totally Hip's LiveSlideShow.

iPhoto has no "fit to music" option. Roxio's Toast Titanium 6 comes with
Motion Picture 1.0 and it does have this function. It works great too!

I highly recommend Still Life, which another user of this group pointed out
to me just a few days ago. It is SO much more advanced than iPhoto or
iMovie's slide shows (pan/zoom, Ken Burns, etc.) and you can output to
    iMovie if you like.

The program has a "fit to audio" option.

I've got sample slideshows online if anyone's interested.
