    Default Is Contribute worthwhile???

I am testing Contribute 3. I was told it was user friendly, especially for
people without a lot of web design experience. I'm a bit baffled because I have
found the program to be a pain! The help pages have been useless. I've stumbled
across things by error. I need tech support, but since I'm in trial mode I've
been told to come to this forum for my answers. So far I haven't read much that
    was positive.

Does anyone have suggestions for a different software program?

It's piss easy. There's even a "quick start guide" that comes with it. Way
    too easy.

    Kristine:

I would recommend that you take the built-in tutorial that can be found
inside Contribute 3... do it as many times as you need to.

Our company started selling Contribute with nearly all our websites a couple
of years ago, and our clients LOVE it! Even the non-tech-savvy ones.

We create our websites in Dreamweaver, making sure they are
standards-compliant. We build DW templates and then make all pages from
these templates. We lock down the design and leave the text area open for
the client to add their content.

Once the site is ready and the client is happy with it, we train them in
Contribute and they add content. We create a customized training manual for
them and give them 1 hour of personalized training.

It took me a while to get the hang of Contribute as an Administrator and as
a developer. I relied on this group a lot, as well as some of the terrific
Tech Notes on the Macromedia (ooops .. Adobe) website. Once you have the
program nailed, you'll realize that it is a real gem.
