Default Is it just me, or is this a glitch in CS?

When I go to my links palette and I shift select a group of links, say six in a row of the same image, and I hit replace link, it doesn't work right, it will put double images in the file or something weird. So, what I have to do to make it work is click on ONE link at a time then click go to link then click replace link then it works. Anyone else having this problem?

I've never had to do this, so it has never been a problem for me, but replacing images one at a time is the way it works. Submit a feature request.

I've replaced multiple links at once by shift selecting them for years in version 8.

Well, it doesn't exactly replace them at once. The dialog for selecting the images pops up separately for each image to be replaced. Anyway, it works exactly the same in AI CS, only instead of using Replace... (AI 10 Links menu) use Relink... (AI CS).

This is a problem that has plagued AI 10 and now CS.
I just recently figured out how to workaround this:
    - Option click on a lock in the Layers pallette so that all layers are locked.
    - Shift/cmd select the images that you want to replace
    - Click "replace" in the Links pallette
    - Navigate and replace as needed
    This seems to work.
And yes, this is a bug. Why it wasn't fixed in CS is beyond me.

am not sure about this but since you would have to point each individual link to a specific image anyway…well…why is anyone concerned. It occurs to me that if you have a bunch of these dialogs open all at once there is more probability for a mistake that way anyway.

    Well you got me baffled!

I've never tried replacing them all at once. Didn't link it was possible. I'll have to try it on someone's old Mac with AI8 tomorrow and see if I can't do some damage.
