    Default Is it ok to update to 4.0.3 or better to stay with 4.0.2?

    I'm sure I read a few weeks ago about Images are not retaining their size after being increase or decease in Photoshop. I do not want to lose this handy feature if I update.

    If true is there a fix yet?

    I would like to update to 4.0.3 because Adobe say it fixs the problem of pixels or bands of pixels shifting when you print or export to pdf.

    Thanks for any help

    Apart from the change in how placed images are handled - see < <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/330428.html>>, the 4.0.3 update fixes a lot of other things which you won't get if you do not update. Other things fixed, see the 4.0.4 update Read me file at < <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/330355.html>>.

    From an Adobe Creative Suite product manager in another thread:

    Lonn Lorenz - 7:42pm Jul 12, 06 PST (#37 of 40)

    Greetings,

    "Adobe is aware of users who are unhappy with a change made in the InDesign
    CS2 4.0.3 update. After you apply this update, image dimensions change
    unexpectedly when you relink or update links.

    "This issue was introduced by a change that was made in the InDesign CS2
    4.0.3 update to address the following user reported issue, "Image displays
    incorrectly after you scale it in Photoshop (InDesign CS2 )."
    <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/332757.html>

    "We understand now that some users prefer the behavior of InDesign 4.0.2 and
    earlier. If you prefer the previous behavior, remove and then reinstall
    InDesign CS2 but do not apply the InDesign CS2 4.0.3 update. We are
    investigating other solutions for this issue as quickly as possible. Further
    updates will be noted in the following technical document.
    <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/330428.html>

    "Thanks very much for your valuable input. "

    Lonn wouldn't say this unless something were on the way.
