font doesn't exist the PDF viewer will automatically pick a close
substitute font. If you must have the right font, you can also embed the
font in the PDF when you create it on the WINDOWS pc. This will make the
PDF a bit bigger though.

To create a new standard it takes something that's not just a little
bit different. It takes something that's really new and really captures
people's imagination. And the Macintosh, of all the machines I've ever
seen, is the only one that meets that standard.

Quick note, if you're wanting to copy pdfs with odd fonts in, it is> If not, how?
possible to embed the fonts in the pdf file (see the options in
distiller). There's probably an option to embed fonts somewhere in
the print dialogue, but I rarely use it.

standard font. I think it gets installed on MacOS when you install
MS Office.
If you use it in a PDF file, you can choose to embed the font in the
PDF file. If you do that, it will render fine on Macs. If you don't
and the person reading it doesn't have it on his system, then it will
be substituted for some other font, which may impact the layout of
your PDF.
