Default Is there anyone on the planet that can solve this??

I'm using Illustrator 8 and when typing text certain letters "overlap" each other. For instance if I type the word "Love", the v and e will be one letter if that makes any sense at all.
I have a screenshot but it wont let me paste it into this message box.
I will be glad to e-mail it to anyone that may be able to help.

    any ideas?

    Thank You,

    Brandon

You could check/change the Kerning between those two letters.
    Open the Character Palette,
Click the type cursor between the v and e, check/change the kerning
value (the little box on the left below the Type Size box)

Sounds like a bad font/free font problem. If your font is a cheap knock off of another companies font, what happens is sometimes the kerning tracking values get extremely screwed up. Either rekern or track the type or buy a good quality version of the font.

    Could be the tracking.

Try to put the tracking at 0 in the character box. If its already at 0, put
any negative value until they no longer overlap.
