Are you using Raster Effects? If so, FH vector artwork is rasterized at the
setting in File/Doent Settings/Raster Effects Settings.

Thanx for the reply Tried it...unfortunately that didn't do the trick. But setting it to 300 makes drawings look smoother in freehand but stil jagged in acrobat.

When you distill or export to PDF there are "downsample" settings for
images (three settings actually, Monochrome, Grayscale and Color). By
default this is usually set to 72 ppi as they assume that most people
are viewing PDFs on-screen at 100%. Increase the value something
    appropriate for your needs.

What are your compression settings in the PDF export dialog? High
compression will create JPEG images of high compression -- jaggy and curdled
    looking.

What is the purpose of the PDF file? If it is for computer screen viewing
only and wide distribution via internet, then high compression may be
appropriate. If it is for printing, then turn off compression settings when
you export and expect to deal with a much larger file size.

Thanx again I have also tried all the settings in image compression no luck
either. I'm pretty sure I haven't changed any settings the problem just occured
the other day working on a new project, untill then Freehand has worked
    perfectly.
    All suggestions are welcome

Pretty sure!? Did you check your settings or are you just guessing?

What's in the FH doent? Do you have Raster Effects, text on a curved
path, placed EPS? Tell us exactly, precisely and specifically what kinds of
objects you have in the doent. Then perhaps someone can offer some
    advice.

If you have not already updated from 11.0, make sure you're using FH 11.0.2.
