When I try to go to certain websites it tells me that I
need to download java virtual machine, but when I click

have found a solution that may help.
Simply cut & paste the following link in your browser's
address bar:-
www.java.com/en/download.manual.jsp
This should provide the solution. If you are still
experiencing difficulties, there will be a dialog box
asking permission to install the updated Java Virtual
Machine. You can click on Yes, for an automatic
installation.
Note: The entire process can take from 7-10 mins. to
download & install on a 56kbps dial-up modem.
If you have a slower machine, the entire process takes 15-
20 mins.
Hope this solves your problem.
