Javascript??
I've searched and scoured for the answer to this to no avail. In CFMX7, is
there a conflict between custom javascript in the <HEAD>, executed onSubmit
in <CFFORM> and the _CF_checkform function builtin to Cold Fusion. My custom
form functions are overriding the required="yes" and message="myMessage"
attributes of <CFINPUT>. If I remove the onSubmit function from <CFFORM>, my
required <CFINPUT> fields work the way they should. Below is a typical
<CFINPUT> that I use.
<CFINPUT type="text" name="cvv2" message="You must provide the 3 or 4 digit
Card Security Code." validateat="onSubmit" validate="integer"
required="yes">

The first issue, where you cannot use standard cfform validation if you
specify an onSubmit attribute (bug number 59602), has the following workaround:
To enable standard cfform validation when you use an onSubmit attribute, add
the following statement to the onSubmit attribute, replacing CFFORM_1 the value
of name attribute of your form.
return _CF_checkCFFORM_1(this)
For example:
<cfform onSubmit="myfunction();return _CF_checkMyCFForm(this)">

This bug was acknowledged almost 4 months ago and I still haven't seen any
fixes for it. Are we starting to see the effects of the Adobe purchase already?
