JavaScript and Translators Error Messages in Contribute3
I installed Contribute 3 on a Windows XP PC last week. It worked fine for a
few days and then started giving the following errors:
When user opens Contribute: "The following translators were not loaded due to
errors: EditTextOnly.htm has configuration information that is invalid" The
user can click OK, but the message keeps popping up as they edit their page.
When user publishes a page: "While executing onLoad in _afterSave.htm the
following JavaScript error occurred in file _afterSave Reference Error:
afterSave is not defined"
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Contribute a few times, but haven't had any
luck. Contribute 3 is installed on several other PCs and this is the first
time we've had this kind of problem. What are your suggestions?
Thanks,
Kathy

Re: JavaScript and Translators Error Messages inContribute 3
I think maybe the problem is not in the program but in the website-code.
Have you checked the pages for errors (for instance in the javascript).
When u use opera or firefox you kan check javascript with the console.
Opera in the menu: Tools, Advanced, Error Console
Firefox ijn the menu: Tools, Error Console

Re: JavaScript and Translators Error Messages inContribute 3
Other users could open the same web pages in Contribute and edit/publish them
without any problem. Which tells me that the errors were caused by this
particular installation of Contribute 3 and not by some problematic javascript
on the page. The only "solution" I could come up with was to install
Contribute 4. Once I did that, the errors went away. It still puzzles me
though, especially since Contribute 3 worked fine for a few days before these
errors showed up.
