    Default JavaScript Form Code

    Hello,

I have a web form that will be processed by formmail.pl. On the redirect page, we would like to use some JavaScript to present the user with a custom thank you page that shows their FirstName, LastName, email, phone and fax. We would need to pass the information from the form to the redirect page (thank_you.htm).

    Something like this:

Thank you (FirstName)(LastName) for your interest. If you have asked us to contact you, we will be using the following information:

    (email)
    (phone)
    (fax)

    Thank you,
    Blah

Any help you can give will be appreciated!!!

    Default Re: JavaScript Form Code

this is probably out of date, the question is month old-

but- what i would do is dig into a copy of the formmail.pl script and
modify the built-in default "thank you" page that is generated right in the
script, to have the wording you wish. Within the script, you can access any
form field with $fieldname for where you want it in the text. Look at the
way the built in default page is

do a find within the script for <body>, then look within those results for
the one that has $realname submitted this on $date or similar wording for
    the standard "thank you"

note- take a look at the way the script uses \ escapes before quotemarks
    and @

note- this question would likely have gotten a very quick answer on the
    general dreamweaver newsgroup-
