Javascript News 'Ticker'
I'm looking at using a javascript to make a news ticker service.
I'm referring to the horizontal type scrolling text box, with hyperlinks. It
is just a plain simple one and I don't know any variables apart from how fast
the text moves. I also found that adding a <br> or <br /> to the actual html
mark-up in my javascript, gives me a double width , so I just use ----- to
separate the various news items. You can use a <br /> in a vertical scrolling
text box. Just a tip.
I realise I can use html mark up, but I am stuck on getting an image to show
up. I did this a few days ago, but forgot how to do so. Searching online here
gives me Fireworks info , but I'm just using a separate js file and just need
to know how to include an image.
I thought using (img src= blahblah.png/) was clever for some reason. I do not
think I can use commas though, so no src="" will be there.
How do I do this?
I realise people abuse javascript, but I use it for useful things, and think
that using a little bit of javascript is almost obligatory if you have a web
site.
I also observe that 20,000 authors seem to claim to have invented your basic
scrollbox which is jus using marquee, but hiding it from the Wc3 in a way. We
are just using marquee, but get xhtml 1.1 standard for doing it with
javascript. Am I off kilter for thinking this to be fact?
Cheers in advance of some easy answer on the image placement using a .js file.

Re: Javascript News 'Ticker'
Its ok
You just need to use a <img src=here.jpg>
For a break just use a nospace.
What I need to know now is how to style the text and background and html mark up of bold in the javascript .
