JDK Installation - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

I have problems on installing JDK on Red Hat Linux 7.1 power PC. I downloaded "j2sdk-1_4_1_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin" - Linux RPM in self extracting file and followed the insturctions on Installation page. 1) # chmod a+x j2sdk-1_4_1_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin 2) ./j2sdk-1_4_1_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin ....it prompts for License Accept yes or no on which after typing "y" I get following ERROR wonder why -------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you agree to the above license terms? [yes or no] y Unpacking... Checksumming... 0 0 Extracting... ../j2sdk-1_4_1_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin: ./install.sfx.3299: cannot execute binary file Done. -------------------------------------------------------------------- The above is supposed to create a RPM file which I could then use RPM command to install....but ...

    1) # chmod a+x j2sdk-1_4_1_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin
    2) ./j2sdk-1_4_1_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin
    ....it prompts for License Accept yes or no on which after typing "y" I
    get following ERROR wonder why

    y
    Unpacking...
    Checksumming...
    0
    0
    Extracting...
    ../j2sdk-1_4_1_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin: ./install.sfx.3299: cannot
    execute binary file
    Done.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------

    The above is supposed to create a RPM file which I could then use RPM
    command to install....but cannot pass throug the above process -
    wonder why

    Any related information is appreciated....

    This file is for Intel architecture CPUs (Pentium and above), it will not
    work in a PPC machine.
