jpeg to pdf size problems
Hi and thanks to anyone who can help in advance.
I'm trying to convert a 8.5 x 14 jpeg into pdf since that's what most local shops need to print... when I convert, and view it at 100% in Acrobat, it looks more like 125%. How can I maintain the jpeg size?
Thanks again

Using Acrobat 6.0
I'm right-clicking on the file and selecting 'Convert to PDF'
Thanks

Re: jpeg to pdf size problems
If you look at the lower left side of your PDF - where Acrobat tells the size (in dimensions), does it also say that the file is increased in size? Viewing at 100% isn't a good test as to size, since it will view at different sizes according to the screen resolution you have set for your monitor.

Re: jpeg to pdf size problems
Kay, yes... the dimensions haven't changed. That's a relief as I didn't want to take it to the printers only to find out the dimensions were out to lunch (I'll never trust the % bar again!)
Thanks for your help!

Re: jpeg to pdf size problems
Think about it, assuming the same screen resolution it's going to display the same number of pixels whether your monitor is 15 inches or 22 inches. There's no such thing as "actual size" when you're talking about an image on-screen vs. on paper.
