    Default js errors after installing WA Assist ext?

    I am trying to reinstall the WA PayPal toolkit in my version of DW 8.
    <https://www.webassist.com/professional/products/ProductDetails.asp?PID=18>
    After installing the extension I get the following error loading DW 8.02. It
    appears twice.

    at line 1275 of macromedia dreamweaver 8:configuration:Shared:paypalshared.js"
    var re11 = / + /g;
    SyntaxError: Invalid quantifier

    It also appears if I try to invoke the extension once DW is up and running.

    Any thoughts on how to repair this situation apprecaite.

    DW 8.02
    Mac OS X 10.4.7

    Thanks,

    Henry

    Hi Hank (and Michael),

    Make sure you've got the latest version of the toolkit. You mentioned that
    you were re-installing and you may be using a version that wasn't adjusted
    for 8.02. You can always get your latest version by going to WebAssist.com,
    logging in and then visiting your Order History (under My WebAssist).

    Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks. As you see, my error is from a different module, and I have not
    updated to 8.02 (to avoid having to mess with the new db coding.)

    Michael,

    Hold off on upgrading if you haven't already - we've got a new major update
    to eCart coming on Tuesday. It'll be free for eCart 3 owners (as well as
    owners of current eCommerce Suite and Super Suite).

    Is the last update, and the next, compatible with DW8.01 too? Because,
    as I say, that is where I hope to stay for a while. And it is that
    version that gives this error message.

    They all should be backwards compatible with 8.01, but we're really
    extending our PayPal support with this upcoming release (not to let the cat
    out of the bag too early :-).

    I'll file the bug internally to make sure that there are no problems with
    8.01. Could you send me some details off list?

    Default Re: js errors after installing WA Assist ext?

    :confused;
    I too am having the same problem. I downloaded the extension for dreamweaver
    8 and am getting error messages when I open dw and javascript errors when I try
    to bypass and insert and "add to cart" button. I used to have an old
    dreamweaver program, educ, that could not be ugraded and had no problem with
    the paypal extension. I'm very frustrated with this problem. I have pages
    that I cannot finish because of it. Any suggestions? I have installed, fixed
    errors and uninstalled several times.

    thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

    Hi Linda,

    Sorry you're having difficulties. Your best bet would be to file a technical
    support incident. They'll be able to look over your whole system and figure
    out what's going wrong in the shortest amount of time.

    Default Re: js errors after installing WA Assist ext?

    Hello again Joseph,
    I would really like if you guys did a small learning movie of dealing with
    paypals IPN and your ecart extension. I have requested this a few times in
    the last 4 years and was always told this was going to be done but I am
    still waiting.

    regards

    Kenny
