.js files not found
I keep getting the following error when updating a template that contains a DW
8 generated pop-up menu (behaviors)
At line 1654 of file "C:\Program Files\Macromedia/Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\Behaviors\Actions\Show Pop-up Menu.js": The function
saveDocument() is currently unavailable.
I read on the MacroMedia site to remove the configuration file and it would be
recreated the next time I lauched DW. Tried it and it didn't work.
Any clues?
Thanks,

Re: .js files not found
1. You should never use the DW8 generated pop-up menus. Here's why -

2. Do you get these error messages at any other time?
3. Did you remove the correct Configuration folder (NOT the one in the
Program Files hierarchy)?

Re: .js files not found
Yes, I removed the correct config file from the User's folder not program
files.
I am working with a client who is trying to create a template that is VERY
EASY to use...the users aren't web page savy AT ALL. So our solution was to
use DW's pop-up menu and put it in and editable region of the template. The
users can simply double-click the behavior and edit their content.
I have used ProjectVII in the past and love their stuff. And the free menus
are great...but I fear to complex for the people here.
So, my question still remains...why can't DW find the showpop-upmenu.js file.
Is there a fix?

I can only advise you not to use the pop-up menus that DW8 (or FW for that> So, my question still remains...why can't DW find the showpop-upmenu.js

matter) builds. You will definitely buy yourself much more grief than you
want....

Re: .js files not found
OK...the pop-ups aren't compatible with templates...do you happen to know if the PVII menus are...I can recommend them to my client.
Thanks for the information,
