Just installed PS7

Hi, I am new to Photoshop, when i installed my colors were all wrong, red is yellow, green is red etc. etc.
I used adobe gamma and set everything up but i still have the problem. When the foreground is black and background white which is the normal default one, the colors are all wrong, but if i flip thos to having te foreground white and the background black, all the colors are back to normal, red is red, green is green blue is blue. I dont know whta else to do, Can someone Pleas help me, Any help is apprecitated.
PS i visited Lyons site, and nothing works still

As instructed in the FAQ: Re-run Adobe Gamma, and use a different profile for the starting point.

This may be too simple an answer for your problem but make sure you have black for your default in the color palette. The frame should be around the black in both places, the default picker and the color palette,the one with the color bars.
