Re: Just move to Illustrator
Yeah, check out Microsoft's knowledge base... more often than not, for the
article they will have a "this is a known issue. You can download a patch
here..." blah, blah, blah. Very good service. They recognize that they don't
put out perfect software. I definitely (for all the spite I feel towards
them daily for other reasons) have to give Microsoft a 10 in this area!

personnel to devote to maintenance work on Freehand (they've spread
themselves thin trying to get a corner on the web programming market) or
they just don't see any long term profit in Freehand and seem confortable
with letting it go into a coma from neglect just like Fontographer.
FYIW, I downloaded the newest Adobe Reader 6.0 and seem pretty impressed by
it. It even changed characteristics of the old Adobe PPD I was using to
create Acrobat PDF files via Distiller. The on screen previews look MUCH
better. Some of this stuff could be part of the underworkings of Adobe
Illustrator 11, due sometime late this Summer.

Re: Just move to Illustrator
Thats funny that you guys mention MS doing updates. Now that I think about it even Apple releases bug fixes regularly for its "FREE" iapps. Heck people aren't even paying for those....and here we are using a program we paid for and it gets no attention.
So maybe MM does only have enough staff to work on one project at a time.
