Keep over image while showing popup menu
When I hover over a button that has a popup menu, I would like the button's
over image to stay on when my mouse is over the popup menu. When it goes off
either the button or the menu, I would like the image to return to normal. I
can't seem to find the right behavior in Dreamweaver to accommodate this
function. Anyone have any ideas?
...and Murray, no offense, but I'm not interested in changing my popup menu
structure over to something else like P7's. I've already seen the rants, so
don't bother, unless you can help with what I am interested in. Not trying to
single you out, but just trying to be up front. Thanks.

this with the Swap Image behavior, but it will take a lot of work. The
logic:
on trigger button:
Swap Image but no restore. The Swap image swaps this trigger to its over
state and ALL OTHER triggers to their default states.
On every menu item in the submenu, a SwapImage to hold the trigger in
its over state.
But since Macromedia's popup menu carries menu items in a javascriopt
file, you will have to go into that file and write your own functions to
do this.
Sorry - I believe it's an impossible task unless the MM Menus script is
rewritten.

Re: Keep over image while showing popup menu
Thanks, Al. I notice that you're with P7 too. It's too bad that Macromedia
doesn't have something as simple as that incorporated in Dreamweaver of
Fireworks. I appreciate you and Murray trying to make things better; I just
don't want to go to the trouble (and expense) of reworking my menu setup. Plus
I'm too much of a newbie to try ;p
Thanks again!

Re: Keep over image while showing popup menu
I'm not taking any offense, and I can understand your reluctance at redoing
what may already be hours that you have invested in this, which is one of
the major reasons why I so passionately hate these menus. People are caught
unaware, and by the time they discover what dogs they are, it's too late.
Like Al, I wish I could help you more....
