Kernel 2.6 - Build Options - Where has Configure.help gone ? - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

I require a full list of the linux kernel build options together with information on what effect they have on the finished kernel. There used to be a Configure.help file containing this information. This does not appear to be present in the 2.6.0 source tree. Where can I find details of this ? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help....

I haven't got a help option on mine, because menuconfig doesn't work
on my build machine and I haven't got a gui.

Where does the help option get its information from ?

I really do want to know what all the build options are for a PC based
    system.

Configure.help held the information that I am looking for.

Actually, if you're configuring via "make config", you can enter "?" at
most of the prompts and see the help description.

However, if you just want to view the help on one specific option without
stepping through a couple thouand prompts, find the corresponding
"Kconfig" file (scattered all throughout the codebase) and look up the
    help text there.
