Kernel Panic on Install - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

Can someone help me decode this pls? Machine Check Exception 000.....4 Bank0, a200000084010400 Kernel Panic, CPU Context corrupt This is a new machine running P4 2.0Ghz on Tyan S2098 M/B w/ Intel i845GL chipset and "Extreme Graphics" core. I see it when attempting to install RedHat 9. Could someone give me the pmce output for this one pls, or some hints? I tried all the usual & am suspecting either a bad MOBO or CPU (this is new hardware)....
