kernel panics with acrobat
use osx 3.9 and acrobat 6.01. i notice that when the computer has been on for a while, and I've opened and closed many programs that when I open acrobat, about half the time I get a kernel panic. I also get them a little more than occasionally when opening indesign when the computer has been on and used for a while.
does anyone have any experience with the problem and have a solution?
thanks for any help,
jeff

Re: kernel panics with acrobat
Could be a hardware fault. That's probably the most likely
explanation. The actual type of panic might give a clue.
Bear in mind that Mac OS X is supposed to be written so an application
cannot crash it, no matter how badly written, no matter how badly it
tries. So you really need to look at the system or hardware, NOT the
application.

Re: kernel panics with acrobat
Thanks for the suggestion, but I just wonder if it's hardware when I can replicate it so easily with indesign and acrobat open at the same time.

Re: kernel panics with acrobat
Yes, it could be the system too.
(I have a Mac which would frequently die - hang - when compiling
programs. I was sure I had faulty RAM. But reinstalling Mac OS made
the problem go away).
