Is that in the console or in X? In X, 'man xset'
xset -r turns auto repeat off
xset r rate 600 20 sets the repeat delay and rate
xset q shows the current settings
For the console, the commands in SunOS might be different from Linux or
other flavors of Unix. Try 'apropos keyboard' or 'apropos repeat'.

Are you using a Sun Type-6 keyboard? Ever since I got a new machine with
these keyboards (and I've tried three different keyboards) I find I am
always getting random duplicate letters while I type. This does not appear
to have anything to do with the key repeat rate which is set to a proper
value and does not seem to be contributing to the problem. I never had
this difficulty with the Type 3, 4 or 5 keyboards.
