    Default KMail IMAP

Am I just being really picky, or does KMail lack decent IMAP support? For
example, I cannot select the default inbox, so I need an extra click on
launch. I also get a ton of errors with connections to the server (says my
    folders don't exist!).

Is this something I should look into fixing on my end, or is it a bug in
    KMail?

I would say that the answer to that is, "it depends." I am able to use
KMail's IMAP functionality just fine connected to a Microsoft Exchange 5.5
    server.

Works fine here connecting to my mailserver. The only issue i have
is the incoming filters i use to move mail to another account sometimes
lack. The first account in the accounts section is seen as the default,
so kmail will always boot up in that account, no matter from where it exits.
To set the default sender for each account, right click on the folders of
    the account,properties, identity sender

I decided to go back to POP3. I can't stand seeing a blue screen telling me
that it's accessing my email every time I try to read a message or change
    folders. Is that normal?

Are you using online IMAP or disconnected IMAP? Disconnected IMAP kept
throwing errors at me about folders not existing, but it was faster when it
    worked.

Odd. I think I either have a corrupted KMail install or the server is
    faulty.

My host has been having problems in the last week, and they're switching me
to a different server. I'll try to and see if it's a server problem or
    not.

Problem appears to be solved now. It just needed a fresh start, I guess.
