Kolletion supported in Dreamweaver? CS3?

Hello, is the latest version of Kolletion supported in Dreamweaver® CS3?

If not, will it soon or will it be called something else? What?s up with updates, or new versions?

regretfully noone involved (not even Interakt respectivele Adobe Romania
itself) has any permission to say something about this without ADOBE´s
consent -- we all need to wait until Adobe releases the related extended
specifications on their website.

I just spoke to a guy called Martijn Koopmans at Adobe Technical support (UK
number) and he spoke to their Dreamweaver "Expert" who confnfirmed that there
WILL be a new version of (Interakt) Kollection released for Dreamweaver CS.

It will not be available at the launch of DW CS.

So, got that - Martijn Koopmans, an employee of Adobe, has
catagorically stated that there will be a new version of the Kollection
extensions for Dreamweaver CS. So it must be true eh?

He also said that no features of Kollection have been built into Dreamweaver
CS.

We can confirm that there is a new version of Kollection planned around the
CS3 release. This version will address the compatibility problems we have with
Dreamweaver CS3 as well as browser and OS compatibility issues.

Yes. It is true. A new product version will be released under a new name. It
will be available on the online Adobe Store.


He also said that no features of Kollection have been built into Dreamweaver
CS.

This is also true. No features have been built into Dreamweaver CS3 because
the InterAKT acquisition came in the middle of Dreamweaver development cycle.
Moreover, even if some features will be included in future versions, it is
highly unlikely that they will be included as is.

Nancy Gill, a Adobe Community "Expert" said there was more information at the
above link - which is a DEAD LINK!!! This inspires me with sooo much confidence
with the future of Dreamweaver, Kollection etc. in the hands of Adobe "Experts"
!!

Calm down, Mark .. at the time I posted this, it was a live link. It was
taken down. I got it from a post in another forum and since it was an Adobe
public page, I posted it here. End of story.

The page I posted was live for a time and was taken down. It was obviously
removed for some reason. I am not the only person who saw it nor the only
person who supplied it. I am not an Adobe employee so I wouldn't know the
whys or wherefors .. but I do my best to answer questions here with the
knowledge that I have.

Don't you mean "Formerly known as PART of Kollection"? Two of the key
components of Kollection are missing.

1. KTML (no replacment in DW CS)
2. Dynamic CSS Menus (no replacment in DW CS unless you want to hand code a
recursive recordset and add recordset->XML translation code after you've
learned how to use Spry in the first place)

I spent 2 hours on the phone with Adobe, bounced from department to department,
to find out that I have to go to my boss and tell him to give me another 300
bucks if we want to migrate to DW CS3, 'cause the Interakt Kollection bundle we
spent 300 bucks for, less than a year ago, will not work with CS3. (Adobe FAQ's
says you'll get an email for a "discount" upgrade". We never got it and the rep
told me they won't(can't) send out another email.) The last customer service
rep I spoke to was very rude and just said, with a tone, "is that it? are you
done? bye. We will not be upgrading to CS3. Is that it? Bye Adobe!

Hello,

The discount emails have not yet been sent. Currently we are sending emails to
the Kollection bundle customers, and will continue with the MX Kollection and
MX Kollection Pro customer emails.

However, this might take another two weeks to complete for North America
region. Customers in other regions will receive the emails once the product
becomes available in their region.
