Korean Fonts Not Displayed Properly under Vista
Using Flash 8 under Vista Home Premium, my application won't display unicode
(UTF8) Korean text using the Arial or New Times Roman fonts. This same
application displays Korean text just fine under XP.
Under Vista, I see rectangles where the characters should be. I think this is
due to a font mapping issue. If I change the text field's font to a Korean
Font, then the characters will display but then the English text is using the
wrong font. I also noticed that Chinese and Japanese display fine and if the
text string has any Chinese or Japanese characters then the Korean characters
*will* display. So it's only if the text string is made up of entirely Korean
characters that it will display squares/rectangles instead of the proper
characters.

Re: Korean Fonts Not Displayed Properly under Vista
I have upgraded to the Flash CS3 Pro/Flash 9 and this problem no longer exists. If I use Flash 8 or earlier then the fonts don't work under Vista.
