Large postscript files fail to postscript to distiller..?
On a mac.. OX 10.4 using Quark 6 and Distiller 7.. when outputting large files (would be over 2GB if they postscripted, the files sit in watched folder at 0k, as they are too large).. This is a pain, and looking to see if anyone has a fix..
some of our documents are only like 4 pages, but the art placed on them is massive.. they come from corporate so we are not allowed to resize. Our only solution for docs like this is to PDF in sections..

Re: Large postscript files fail to postscript to distiller..?
Quark 6 has a max limit in version of 2GB ... Distiller can process
postscript files of any size and will output PDFs up to 2GB (up to
Acrobat 7) and higher with Acrobat 8 and above ..

We are upgrading to Quark 7 in Nov.. and 8 next year.. do you know if this issue is fixed in either version? As far as I know we are staying with Acrobat 7.. but not sure..

Also check to see how much free disk space you have on your work station that is distilling the file.
And are you distilling a file over a network? Sometimes it helps to have the postscript file on the same machine as the Distiller.
