Large vector files and Panther hanging...
Has anyone had problems with Panther and large AI files? Trying to select all in a large (100MB) AI file only gives me the SBBOD. I've enquired on the Apple Panther forum about allocating more memory to AI, but Apple doesn't seem to like you playing around with memory in OSX.
Any help appreciated.
(AICS/OS10.3.3/1.26Ghz G4 & 1GB ram)

we have no probs with ai files of 200 mb; only issue we have is that illustrator cs seems to stall when opening the AI9/10 files - eventually the app comes back - adobe put this down to amount of conversion work when opening - once open, no problems.

Pleiter, are these with a large number of vector points? I thought this may be the problem with the machine trying to select all the points. I have no problem with AI 8/10 files with legact text, but any version does take a while to save.
