    Default LCD Screen distortion

I have a page with a round image in the middle. Looks great on my CRT's, but
everyone with an LCD is telling me it is egg shaped. I looked and sure
    enough.

My guess is there's nothing to do about it, but I thought I'd ask. You all
    amaze me daily.

Yep, there are cheap ones. Maybe your viewers are referring to the small
animated graphic which is oval shaped. The big one is round.

No, their talking about the big one. It's weird on my 17" Corona. I can't
imagine anything to do about it, but I thought I'd check.

    Thanks for taking a look.

They're probably using an inappropriate screen resolution, which is
compressing the contents vertically. Many LCDs aren't a true 4x3 ratio,
while most video modes are. Find out the actual pixel dimensions of your
LCD, and use a resolution that matches. Even then, you'll have problems
if the pixels aren't square. CRTs are more flexible about such things,
and can be adjusted in height and width.

    Looks fine to me.

Is it ANYONE with LCD or a specific set of client machines all using the
    same system setup?

What chance they have 17 inch screens, with natural resolution of 1280x1024,
but are running them at 1024x768? That certainly turns the dartboard into an
oval -- taller than it is wide. Try it. You'll love the effect :-S

Once you get that established you can wonder about how you are going to
convince them all to change their screen settings ;-)

A lot of LCDs now come in 'wide-screen' versions and if they are using a
regular old 4:3 aspect ratio resolution setting, then everything will be
    stretched out.
