.lck Files in Contribute 2
Good morning -
I have a user who is having a problem in Contribute 2 (no upgrade) and here is
the problem -
1. She opens up a page to edit.
2. She can't save it without getting the error message: Access Denied. The
file may not exist, or they could be a permission problem.
3. Operating system - Microsoft XP/Win2K server.
4. Using SmartTerm FTP for sending files to our server
5. Permissions set via work groups. That has not changed.
Remedies attempted -
Per Tech Note 16680 -
I went in on the user's PC and I deleted the .lck files. on the shared Y
drive. They were also removed on the user's PC (local)
I also went to the local place that the files are stored prior to upload.
There are no .lck files there. I have deleted them in both places.
The user tried a "test" of the document and tried to resave it after we shut
her PC down and restarted it.
Still the same error exists.
As administrator, I have done nothing to her permissions in contribute, etc.
Any solutions?
Thanks!!
