Less than basics question ... - Macromedia Director Basics

Suppose I've three doors, one to the left, one at the center and one to the right of the stage. I'll open|close a door clicking on it. How can I make this in a simil flash movieclip mode? I.e. how can I open|close each door indipendently? Not with normal score method, I think .... maybe with a film loop? How can I control a film loop? Sorry for my very basics question .... -g...

    Hi....

Are you looking for a Flash answer or Director answer ?......if it's flash it's very simple...have 3 seperate mc's for the doors...with a stop() on the first frame and a gotoandplay() on mouseclick...that's it.

While it may look like a film loop is the ogue of a Flash
movieClip, it is not. Film loops are more ogous to GIF animations.
They lack a great deal of control.

If you want to animate a sprite on the stage in Director, then you need
to do just that. While you could move to different locations in the
score to run through a series of frames that would display each door
either opening or closing, it is far simpler to just animate the sprite
in place. This sort of thing is very common practice in Director and
    allows for actual interactivity.
