letter by letter text display

My friend had an idea for a site, where he wanted text to be typed out letter by letter in a movie. Not inputed by the user, but displayed by the movie as a result of user interaction. I'd like to kno if anyone has an idea on how to efficiently implement this design.

Here's what you would need to do :

Text Effects libraries are available for download from various Flash related websites. Mostly, they are Free to download and use. Download some and try. Most of these libraries have Dynamic capabilities which allow you to alter parameters using ActionScript
