    --with-ssl=/usr/bin/openssl

    It's likely that you need to install the openssl-devel package, if you haven't already.

    Well, you are missing the openssl-devel package, containing
    the libs you need to compile, as mentioned before...

    Probably you are missing the directory structure in your $HOME, either fix
    that or install system wide, as root. Ask if you don't have the root
    password, if they could install the openssl-devel package for you.

    Well, make it then. The directory, I mean.

    Anyway, that's obviously your foulup with the install target.

    Keep going. There are two ways to cure this. CHoose one. Either change
    the target to be a place that exists, or create the place the target is
    aiming at. Hic. And don't change the install base next time!
