    Default licensing isssues

    Hi,

I have a few questions. Hope is ok to ask them here. I work for a company who
want to upgrade to MX 2004. I see if i buy a boxed version online, it appears
that the Windows and Macintosh versions come on the single CD. I heard that
with the MX 2004 activation, you're allowed to install on 2 computers. Is this
right? If it is, are you allowed to buy one version and install it on a Windows
and a Macintosh computer? We have copies of Director 8.5 for Windows and
Macintosh and was wondering if we need to upgrade both. We had bought both
versions so we could create cross platform applications. I know you can create
projectors for either platform from one Diirector. It would be good if we can
still have the other Director version for testing. The program will only be
    used by one person.

    Thanks.

    John.

    Default Re: licensing isssues

No, essentially, when you "activate" the product online, you have chosen
your platform. You can use it on two Windows machines, or two Macs, but if
you want to use it on two different platforms, you have to buy a separate
license or upgrade a previous license for each platform.
