Sure, the upper limit does't exist, but graphic cards do.
For an average performance (32 mb video, no 3d accelerator-> 256 mb video full
3d acceleration) you shoul use up to 2000 poligons, and textures of 256x256
pixels. Then if you want more graphics details, increase the poligons (mesh
smoth), texture size (always in power of two) or both.
but i prefer to increase texture size first because it improves graphics more
than increasing poliogns.
