line break
I can't seem to get the line break to work in Contribute, so when I hit SHIFT +
ENTER, it still gives a Paragraph tag. According to the help, it should work.
Can anyone tell me if there are settings somewhere to enforce the SHIFT + ENTER
to create a line break and not a Paragraph?
Cheers

Re: line break
The Shift + Enter will work. However, from my experience, you need to be at the
end of the line. Don't try to make the break when your cursor is all the way on
the left side of the screen (at the beginning of a sentence for example.) Then
you do seem to end up with a paragraph break.

Re: line break
You may want to try the Insert Menu then click Line Break. It should work the same as Shift + Enter.

Re: line break
I am experiencing the same exact problem. (Contribute CS3 v4.1, Mac OS X.4.10)
This is quite annoying, as I use this particular key command (Shift + Return =
Line Break) a lot in Dreamweaver and would like to use it in Contribute, but
can't. It doesn't matter where I place the cursor. I keep getting a
paragraph. Sure, you can go to Insert > Line Break to accomplish this, but the
key command, which is specified as an option in Contribute's help section,
should work. Is this something that is altered in the Contribute user roles or
preferences? I have not found anything that works to my knowledge...
I think I will submit this as a bug in Contribute, unless someone can offer
some insight.

Re: line break
I have the SAME problem on Macintosh. Command works in Menu but NOT with shift
- return key shortcut. I have a fresh install of Mac OS X so the problem could
be either in Contribute or how it calls key bindings through the OS. Either way
there needs to be a key binding fix solution.
