Lines and Polygons "Snap To" nearest text box
Acrobat 6.0 Pro on XP
I am using advanced commenting lines and text boxes to add my comments to large, complex graphic documents (actually a form of map which has been exported to pdf format.) When two text boxes must be placed close to one another, an arrowed line or transparent polygon is used to accurately link a particular text box comment with the appropriate information. All works beautifully unless a line or text box is placed in close proximity to another object, line, or text box. In these crowded areas of the drawing, the line or polygon being drawn will "snap to" the nearest vertex instead of the text box or object desired.
Turning "Snap To" off/on, changing the grid size/spacing/subdivisions do not change this behavior or provide more granular points of attachment selection. Have not been able to find any settings which define the properties for text boxes, lines, or objects which likely are forcing the the lines to jump over and attach themselves to a text box which I do not want.
Any solutions or suggestions appreciated. Thx!
