Default Lines through my artwork in email...

    Hello:

I need some help. I have designed a 2 color logo, no close registration.
The logo is clear on my system when I look at it on the screen and when I
print it out. (running Freehand 10.0 and Windows XP Home Edition, web
service is Earthlink) When I have emailed the logo in a JPEG my client is
seeing a line through the artwork. I was told it could be Earthlink or my
clients system. When I have emailed it to another graphics service they
have no problem with the vector or EPS. They have also received a line
    through the artwork.

Any Clue? Need HELP! My Client is getting frustrated and I have no clue
what is wrong. The graphic service does not think it is problem in MY
artwork. Any help ASAP would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try posting the JPG to the internet. Then the client can use his browser
to see it. I had to do this with a PDF that my client couldn't get
because AOL kept screwing up the attachment.

Did you look at the JPEG? I'm just reading that you looked at it in
Freehand and in Print, but not as the JPEG you mailed. I've seen this
with my stuff. It's the way Freehand Anti-Aliases stuff. There are
glitches in their exports sometimes. Happened to me constantly in Ver9.
Skipped 10 but haven't tried it yet in 11.

The only way I've ever been able to get around this has been to copy the
paths and paste them into Fireworks for output. Messy, but it works.

FW will open native freehand files maintaining much of the vector
edit-ability, or you can open an EPS export in FW but this will rasterize. I
don't know how much it's been improved in the mx04 suite, but I've
encountered some issues importing fhd 8-10 into fwmx--such as text on a path
    failing... -Tom Unger
