Linked Images_Looking for Data - Adobe Illustrator Windows

Hello, A raster image file (TIFF, PSD etc) is imported into Illustrator CS and scaled with the transformation tool. Later, I'd like to know what the scaled amount is (Is the object 30%, 40% of its created size?...etc.). I select the image, double click its icon in the Links dialog box and get information I know is incorrect. What is my problem? This type of information was readliy available in Freehand, i can't find it in Illustrator. Thanks _EdB...

The problem is that AI displays that "Transform" information as the image resolution relative to AI's 72ppi-is-100% norm. It's awkward, I know.

It's rather tedious, but you can look at the Doent Info palette, select its flyout menu and choose Linked Images to see the image's size in pixels, which does not change regardless of how you scale the image.

This mess is somewhat improved in CS2.

If CS2 has fixed the issue, it might be worth consideration.
    Thanks for your help.
