linking on non frame page to a frame in a frame p
Hello all,
I'm doing a job for a friend.
Is there a way to load a link from a non-frame page into a frame in a frame
based page?
Go to: [L=this page]http://ltsmaine.com/help.htm [/L] and see my illustration.
Hopefully this can be done.
If you go to [L=this page]http://ltsmaine.com[/L] you see some catalog links
labeled A,B,C,D,E. I want these links to load into lower portion of the frames
page that can be found at [L=this page]http://ltsmaine.com/catalog_frame.htm
[/L] as modeled by the illustration at above.
Thanks,
Greg

Re: linking on non frame page to a frame in a frame p
You sure can.
When you make a page with frames, you're creating multiple html files: one per
frame, plus one framset. So if you want "Webpage A" to load to the
"bottom_frame" of "Webpage B", you'll want three html files. The fist one will
be the "Webpage A/bottom_frame" file. You then link it to your "Webpage B"
file which is a framset including both "top_frame" and "bottom_frame".
Does this make sense to you? If it doesn't - play around with framsets (ie
having an html with two or more frames imbedded), and you'll see it's really
very simple.
