Linking problems - Adobe Acrobat Windows

I am currently trying to link a PDF in Version 6. I can make a link without too many problems but only by manually typing in the page number. The PDF i am trying to link has nearly 300 pages. Previously in Version 4.0 it was possible to create links using Bookmarks that i had created. All i needed to do was draw the link rectangle click on the bookmark and then click on "set link" and that was that. This appears to not be possible in Version 6. Any ideas??...

Yep. Someone at Adobe seems to have thought that you would just happen to know the page number, or that you wouldn't mind the extra work of going into the file beforehand and writing down all the page numbers you wished to link to, and what you wished to link them to. Or that you would find the places you wished to link to, create a snapshot, convert the snapshot to a named destination, and then link to the named destination. <sarcasm>So simple and efficient!</sarcasm>

Linking in AA6 "Pro" is, so far as I am aware, much more bersome than it was in 4 or 5. (I am not happy with this, as you may have noticed.) (I am also two updates behind because the IT dept won't allow them to be installed, but so far as I am aware, the linking issues have not been addressed.)

    Marvellous....

Lets hope they sort it out at some point, thanks anyway.

If it's any use, you can use the SnapShot tool to draw a rectangle around the exact view you want to jump to, go back to the page you want to link from and create a custom link with the action 'Go to SnapShot view'.
