There are many different ways. The simplest is to use BuddyAPI or something
similar to open the pdf. Do a search on this newsgroup, and you will find
examples. Remember.... Google is your friend.

The BuddyAPI Xtra can look up and launcg the program associated with a
file type, you can use 3 of the xtra's functions with a licence fee.
The free fileXtra4 Xtra can also do this, I think.
