Default Little one-pixel white edges on image resizes

Why does it happen? What I means is when you resize and image, a thin white line, on the left side of the image. To get rid of it have to either re-crop it or open it in FW and move the image over, and sometimes up, a pixel on the canvas. Any one know how to stop it from doing that?

Wish I had a definite answer, but when you think about the algorithm used to
downsize and image, that single white line is probably just a few pixels
"left over". For example, try to resize an 100 square image to 51 or 53.
Seems like a tough fit, and its surprising how well FW does. When I get the
single row, I just Ctrl+Z (undo) and resize it again one pixel larger, then
use the canvas resize to get what you want. Also, I often find it helpful
to resize before I crop instead of after, if you have that.

What a clever fix! Thanks. Makes perfect sense.
